Monday 15-09 - 5:04 pm: Where are we? Look on the map, Sander says. The map, but the streets have no names, the villages have no names, we could say the map overtook reality. Ask her, she looks unreal enough to know.....
Monday 22-09 - 9:54 am: I think today is a unique day, we will find out how the car looks from underneath. Luckily I’m driving together with Lee who has his master degree in engineering. Or do I? Is that a tuna sandwich?
Tuesday 6-10 – 7:34 am: 22 Bottles of cheap champagne on the wall.......... 22 bottles of cheap champagne.....Open one up and pass around.....21 Bottles of cheap champagne on the wall.....Lee, do you think I'm pretty?
These are just a couple of one-liners out of Sander Kleinenberg and Lee Burridge's Everybody! On Tour diary. Not just a diary of a musical journey but also the real life journey of 2 top DJs and producers. A journey consisting of bumpy roads, dirty hotel rooms, a broken tourbus, bad weather and unreadable maps.
Sander and Lee, each well renowned as well as internationally respected, teamed up for this musical journey into the future. Sander's choice to team up with Mr. Burridge turned out to be the right one. Lee's years of DJ experience, mixing abilities and his excellent nose for good tunes all come together on the first disc of Everybody! On Tour. Not to mention his road map experience, knowledge of car mechanics and bumpy road driving abilities - what a guy! Did I mention Absolute-Lee Fabulas-Lee?
Mr. Kleinenberg also did it again this time, resulting in a fantastic musical translation of Everybody! On Tour on the second disc. Other things aside, Sander turned out to be great with the bbq (did you ever taste his famous Kleinenburger?), extremely punctual, a great co-pilot and completely disorientated when near, in front or behind road maps.
Everybody! On Tour, being the third part in the Everybody! compilation series, is the first one to appear on Sander's own imprint Little Mountain, leading on from the first two volumes for Renaissance, and Sander and Lee arrive at their destination in early November.
