Full Funktion & Ridgewalkers ft. El - Karma ""

Long time Progressive fans probably remember Dublin duo Ridgewalkers for their track "Find" (and specifically the Andy Moor Remix of it). It's been a long time since we've heard of them, but Baroque is bringing them back this year with "Karma", a track produced with Full Funktion.

Full Funktion & Ridgewalkers "Beach House Mix" is a classic but well produced housy track, featuring some old school house strings & mainly driven by El vocals. They also deliver the acapellas as a seperate track in case you'd like to play with these.

But the highlight of the release most certainly comes from Hungarian producer Lank, who delivers a vocal & dub remix of the track. Don't expect anything else but quality here. Peter "Lank" Golyan gives the track his special treatment, creating a driving housy number with a techy line of percs, that builds up & up on a summery vibe. The Dub version follows the same route, stripping out most of the vocal to only keep some haunting echoes of them. In case you still had doubts, Lank proves once again that he's on top of his game, blending sounds & genres like no other. I can't help but smiling when listening to his remixes, pleased by the great sound.

At the end of the day, despite its production quality, the original mix of the track didnt stand out as very special. But the whole release is lifted up by the incredible Lank remixes that are the "Must Buy" here - taking the review score from a 7 out of 10 to a 9 out of 10.
