Saccao "Muhaha / Melis"

Kasey Taylor's veteran ProgHouse label "Vapour" welcomes a new greek artist for its 116th release & takes another step toward tech house territory.

The EP starts with the leading track "Muhaha" on a deep housy groove before we're introduced to the very cool melodic line. After that, some kind of modified short vocal snippets ponctuate the track before the groovy bassline kicks in. When all the elements are in & layered on top of each other, what you get is a very good & summery track for those who like it classy & housy.

Second track on the EP, "Melis", keeps on riding that same route between deep & tech house. Cool vocal samples play on some nice percs & melodic stabs. Still as classy as "Muhaha" but maybe not as catchy.

All in all, it's another good release for Vapour, bringing more of that deep & techy house sound the label has been showcasing lately. It's great to see how the Vapour sound has evolved through the years. Despite its current sound being quite away from the early releases, it's fascinating to look at how the evolution through the years has been consistent & true to the label identity - it's tech house the progressive way.
