21st Century Fux "Thinking Of You / Night"
Out Now on SAW RecordingsYou may not be familiar with the name 21st Century Fuxx, but you do know the producers behind the alias. Martin Accorsi, Luke Chable, and Austin Leeds make the sum of all parts, and they do it very well. Combining all their talents, you could have guessed you would hear something amazing from them. Let's check this out.
Thinking Of You starts out with a sort synth patch, and is quickly followed by a hard warehouse kick. A low undertone comes in along with the thick claps. A low stab pushes the song, and out comes a voice. "Thinking of you", in a very breathy tone. Delayed sounds fall all around you, and we end up in what sounds to be some backward synths. They are pretty, and swirling all together. A low sub groove keeps the track bouncing along, and moving rapidly. The synth now is very slight, and rolls into the break with a very mellow ambient feeling, along with airy sounds that send a chill down your neck. The low bass remains in the mix, as we jet back into the percussion, and the voice leads us out.
Night is a lovely tune. The drums are delayed, and minimal, and there's a bit of an electro feeling. A zap hits, and falls off. The claps enter the mix, along side an eerie tone. This song is so Halloween. A sort of reverbed horn sound pulls up, as the bass grows underneath. A quick break, and we get a woman saying "In the night, listening for hours". A very cool sample. The kick comes back at you, with some breathing sounds, as well as a deep electro bassline. The bassline is groovy, funky, and bubbly, and really carries the song along. Gaining momentum they add more percussion, and the twisted synths. At the break we get some odd laughter, and some twinkly sounds that fall away. This tune is housy, but dark, deep and minimal. You must seek this out. There's also an added Fxappella, which is very useful.
Another quality release from Saw. All three of these producers excel at making music, and on this gem, they don't disappoint.
