Benz & MD "Radience"

With a string of releases this year on Dorigen, Silver Planet, Hope Recordings and their own Aurium Recordings, Benz & MD have become one of the year's standout production duos, and with many more projects lined up for the rest of the year, it looks as though their profile is only set to grow. This latest single 'Radience' is their second for Release Records, as Benz & MD deliver something different to their previous output for this label from their home country of Canada.

The 'Original Mix' is a grand, spacious affair, quite possibly Benz & MD's biggest sounding track to date. Galloping bass carries the pads forward. Melodies sweep across the rocking beats that rumble through the centre of this emotive and upbeats track, the tempo easing off as the break draws near, dramatic sounds building a tension that is let loose when the drop hits hard, and this track's potential will well and truly be realised as you see what it's capable of doing to the dance floor.

And if that wasn't enough, Sinister Recordings artist 'Introspective' turns in a rocking progressive breakbeat interpretation that will slam any sound system into submission. Taking no prisoners from it's opening moments, this mix just builds and builds, the introduction of a grinding bassline only serving to add more dirtiness to the filth that already exists and with the melody only managing to creep through during the huge ethereal breakdown, you can easily put this into a breaks or house set and either way it is guaranteed to go right off

A big peak time release from the Benz & MD boys, with a blinding remix by Introspective likely to find favour with both progressive spotters and breaks purists. Don't come expecting something subtle this time around, as this 12" only creates carnage within any crowd it is unleashed upon.
