Big Black Boot "Vibrate 2005"

Out Now on Release Records

This track is hot. Following on from its success a couple years back, Bill Beck's classic Vibrate gets a reworking to shape it up for 2005. Being renowned for its tight groove and massive atmosphere, the masters of tribal themselves, Clive Henry and Justin Drake, better known as Peace Division, are brought in to provide this banging revamp.

The bassline slides along, not pushing anyone to go anywhere, but making a bold statement whilst doing so. Many interesting effects are brought in to keep the pace. The cheeky vocal of the Original Mix has been stripped back to the core, only making very subtle appearances. The sexy atmosphere created is sure to make any dancefloor vibrate, and for those late nights when you need to turn up the groove, why choose anything else?

The flipside presents us with a slightly reformatted take on the Original Mix, but remains very true to the Original Mix. The cheeky vocals swim around the composition, and the tight bassline glues the track together. The various effects, complimented by the powerful breakdown make the track what it is, and it stands as tall is it did the day it was originally released. A true classic amongst house fans.

An excellent repackage for Release Records, and anyone unfamiliar with the original releases is well advised to pick this up while they still can, as its status in the scene has already been confirmed. Peace Division hit the mark here yet again, and to date these guys have not let me down. If house or tribal are your thing, then this is not to be missed.
