Brahma "Even Flow"

Out Now on Toes In The Sand Recordings

Michael Lanning & Chris Conner form the production team Brahma. They formed a relationship back in 2001 when Chris heard a tune of Michael's on the Internet and decided to contact him. Their friendship formed into a passion for music and they have since started the Sentient Audio Collective, along with signing a few of their productions to Toes In The Sand. For the labels second release, Brahma showcase their style and lay down a smooth progressive break that sparkles with brilliance, backed with a sweet emotional overtone. Kingkade remixes the tune into a popping housey number that makes you move.

'Even Flow' is a soft ride through a sparkling break beat tune. Layers of washy sounds float along the textured beats and glide along the looming spacy snyth. Loads of watery effects swallow up the beats while a male vocal starts in. His voice rolls with the beats, while being softly effected to be more of a sound than a voice. A lush progressive breaks song that leaves just enough to the imagination.

'Kingkade' is on top form here with his remix of 'Even Flow'. Big housey beats start in while shuffling sounds create a nice percussive groove. Tons of spacey sounds filter over top of the drums and fade away and into a thick bassline. The vocal is tripped out, pulled and rearranged, and then melts perfectly into the mix along with swirling sounds and gated bits. At the break, an arpeggiator builds and takes the song soaring into another groove.

'Even Flow' is a great second release for Toes In The Sand. Brahma has a smooth, lush break beat sound with their original, while Kingkade kicks it up a notch for a devastating house floor mover.
