Chable Vs The Dirty Fours "Tokyo"

Out Now on Trojan Records

The boys from down under team up again to deliver the uber-smooth Tokyo on Chable's very own Trojan Records. The Dirty Fours are more widely known as Nubreed, and this guise allows them to stray from the trademark beats which have come to be expected from Nubreed. Both mixes presented on this vinyl are equal in their quality, just taking the track is very different directions, and thus widening the overall appeal for the track.

Chable's Yellow Mix makes a blissful intro, and sets up a very laid back mood into which the listener can easily glide into and get lost. A tight bassline works as the glue to which everything else is stuck. An epic melody is introduced, which soars over all other sounds and effects. This creates a very strong atmosphere into which the listener is able to fully immerse themselves. Effects are constantly changing, which adds interest to the mix, and there is not a dull moment to be found. High class work from Chable indeed.

Nubreed kick things off with their patented breakbeats, and instantly we can sense a much more peak time feel to it. The bassline is ripped up and blasted throughout the track with the kind of raw power only the boys from Nubreed know how to create. The breathtaking melody hook has been retained, and as with Chable's Mix, it gives the track much of its depth. Much more uptempo than the previous mix, this is currently being hammered by breakbeat DJs across the world for its ability to work the crowd so well. A must for any breakbeat lover's record box.

A magnificent release for Trojan Records, and hopefully we will be getting to see much more of this quality as the label begins to take off.
