Datar Feat Lanni "U"

Datar's 'B' was a landmark release for Hooj Choons several years ago, celebrating 100 releases for the label and at the same time it's 10 year anniversary. Of course, Hooj is now no more, and just when it looked like 'U' was destined to never be released, those lovable rascals at RIP Records have ensured that it would indeed see the light of day, with Tarrentella:Redanka (two thirds of Datar alongside the one and only Danny Tenaglia) providing a splendid set of mixes.

The 'Vocal Mix' features the vocals of Lanni, who's subtle vocals sit nice and snug within the upbeat grooves and rhythms that form the nucleus of this track. Watch out for the hypnotising synth melody that finds it's way in, and prepare yourself to be captivated by this. A superb house track that you undoubtedly hear many times this summer, be it on the radio, or in the clubs of Ibiza.

The 'Instrumental Version' is just perfect for those of you who want drop the track into those deeper and moving sets, with Lanni taken out of the equation, leaving only the addictive beats, grooves and killer melody to do their thing with maximum effect, with the tight Tarrentella:Redanka dynamics oozing out of every pore of this excellent dub.

RIP have a summer anthem on their hands here, a track that follows in the footsteps of 'B' with elegant style and swagger and with King Unique rumoured to be in line to provide their own rub, you can bet this story is far from over yet.
