Descent & Nicholas Bennison "Revention"

Out Now on Propulsion Records

Two great artists come together to create a progressive house tune that is full of blissful sounds and driving rhythms. Descent & Nicholas Bennison have been on fire lately, turning out some great music. Descent has recently had tunes come out on Chris Fortier's Fade label as well as others, while Nicholas has been working feverishly on remixes and his own productions. 'Revention' is a beautiful warm tune with swirling effects, bouncy drums and dreamy synths, while Nicholas’ remix is a trancey club stormer made for pounding arms.

'Revention' is nothing short of brilliant. A nice groove starts everything off. Bouncy drums and a sweet bassline build, then drop down into an ambient break introducing lush sweeps. A beautiful dreamy synth accompanies surreal effects and a nice hook. Vocal bits are sparsely added for another effect. Swaying keys keep the song moving, while a growing trancey stabbing melody joins in. The sounds all build together, and drop in an out of quick breaks until the end.

Nicholas Bennison has been making waves recently with his driving trance. He remixes 'Revention' into a harder darker version. A wiggly bassline cuts through the quick beats and dark sounds. The light swaying keys have been changed into hard stabs that drive the whole tune. The stabs fall into a short break, which builds into a heavy explosion of sound. Everything peaks once more and then lowers while the drums ride out. A monster of a tune.

Having seen early support from Paul Van Dyk, D:Fuse and Christoper Lawrence who featured Nicholas' remix on his Essential Mix for BBC Radio One, this is going to be a massive release for Propulsion Records, as well as Descent & Nicholas Bennison.
