JaseFOS "Do What You Want"

Out Now on Shine Music

Producer Jason Hearn has been involved with music for over the last decade and has played a pivotal role in the development of the music scene in Perth, Western Australia. From the early rave days he was part of the live act Sensory Overload, but it was 1997 when he first adopted the Jase From Outta Space name. Developing an interchangeable live experience that spans many genres and that can be adapted to suit any club or festival is no mean feat, but it's this ability that has established his name as one of the greats on the Australian dance scene. As a producer he's most known for 'Do What You Want', a track that has been much sought after ever since the Infusion remixes found their way into the record boxes of many top DJs many months ago, and after many ups and downs, it's finally getting the release it deserves here on Max Graham's Shine Music label.

A great lover of the track, 'Max Graham' adds his own touch to the track, delivering his own 'Third Street' interpretation. In typical Max Graham fashion, this is a big mix created with the dancefloor in mind, and everything about about it helps to bring that vibe off. From the rolling beats and hypnotic loops, through to the unforgettable vocal and the climbing bass. this is superb peak time mix that builds and drops until the energy level is set to explode, and when the final section kicks in, that's exactly what this mix does, as Max Graham delivers one of his best remixes in quite some time.

Over on the flip is the much sought after 'Infusion Sky Mix'. Even though it was created over two years ago, this mix is responsible for the track's cult following and is a favourite of many big DJs, including James Holden who also featured it on his Balance 005 compilation where it become one of the standout tracks. Built around one of those killer basslines that Infusion are famous for, this is atmospheric 4/4 remix is still one of their finest remixes to date, with the rippling intro building just the right amount of tension before taking us into the eerie main section of the track. This is one track where the vocal stands out head and shoulders above everything else, and whilst it's not the most dancefloor friendly mix, you can guarantee that it will not only provoke a reaction but have the crowd singing along too. A stunning remix and even with the great remix by Max Graham, this still remains my favourite version of the track so far.

Shine Music looks set to have it's biggest release yet on it's hand and as Jase comes from out of space and onto the record stores, be sure to pick up a copy, as you know this a record many of you have been waiting for.
