Jaytech "Genesis (Remixes)"

Out Now on Rapid Response Recordings

Not too long ago Rapid Response Recordings treated us to their first release from Australian Jimbo Cayzer (aka Jaytech) with a track called 'Genesis'. The track received massive support from many and has been driving the dancefloors wild across the globe. Here we are treated to two more mixes, which whilst not quite standing up to the initial release, they put on a sound performance.

First up is Jimbo's own take on the original. He keeps the overall feel and mood of the track very similar, but the notable difference is the pace at which he tackles it at. It is much more upbeat, and the percussion hits harder. This gives the track much more of a trance-like feel, and is certain to be favoured by the likes of those dropping the trancier side of progressive, like Markus Schulz, etc. For me though the original mix still held a certain charm which isn't quite matched here.

Las Vegas star Pablo La Rosa has churned out some amazing remixes in his time, and any self respecting house fan will be familiar with his work. However I wasn't sure exactly how his sound would fit in with 'Genesis'. But his mix turned out to be the most unique out of the bunch. He whips up a sleazy house-driven foundation, yet still retains the distorted vocal line and overall positive feel of the original. Fans of dirty house will love this one, and whilst I wasn't personally feeling it too much, there is definitely a lot to like about it.

Two distinctly different takes on an already massive track here provide a nice accompaniment to the initial release. However I still feel Christopher Lobsinger has the reigns with his stunning remix which was featured on the first release. If you were a die hard fan though, you can't go wrong giving this one a listen.
