Jaytech "Genesis"

Out Now on Rapid Response Recordings

Hailing from the capital of Australia, 20 year old Jimbo Cayzer is no stranger to the scene. He's been producing electronic music under the alias of Jaytech since he was 14 years old, and has in this time developed his talent into something quite special. However, it seems that he has begun his ascension into something big here on "Genesis".

The beautiful Original Mix comes just in time for summer in the US and UK (while winter sets in this side of town!). The melodies are absolutely enormous. This is proper big room material, and it is no wonder it's being spun by the big wigs of the scene like Sasha, Oakenfold, Warren, Armin Van Buuren, etc. A distorted female vocal-like effect flows over the back of the production and gives it a decidedly positive vibe. While I'm usually one for the deeper sounds, there is something special about this one that is impossible to ignore.

Just as I say that however, Christopher Lobsinger's mix shows up to take us down a deeper interpretation of "Genesis". Lobsinger may or may not be a familiar name to you, but if it isn't, then now is the time to start paying attention. Not even of age 19 yet, Lobsinger has captured the ears of some pretty hot names through his show on Proton Radio. But I personally first took notice of the name after hearing his absolutely blissful take on Tilt's "Twelve". It was by far the most original and beautiful interpretation of the track, and if you haven't heard it I strongly advise you all to track down a copy. However, his take on "Genesis" is far from chilled. It has a distinct chugging groove to it, which goes down well when complemented with the melodic elements of the original. Add to this Lobsinger's own gritty melody, and this easily becomes my mix of choice. That same massive big room feel of the original mix, but possessing a much more driving feel.

This is the first release from Rapid Response Recordings, which is headed by Christopher Lobsinger's dad Phil Lobsinger, alongside Nick McGeachin. They've truly made a grand explosion onto the scene with "Genesis", and if you haven't heard it yet, you'll most certainly be hearing it soon due to the number of people hammering this one. It seems the label is intent on showcasing young and upcoming talent, with the next release coming from Nico Christoph, a sibling outfit consisting of brothers aged 18 and 15! Something to certainly look out for.
