Kosmas Epsilon "Architect EP"

Out Now on Precinct Recordings

Having wowed us with bootleg remixes of tracks by FC Kahuna and The Beloved, Greek producer Kosmas Epsilon now appears with his first official release on Ben Lost and Red Jerry's Precinct Recordings label, now on it's fourth release. The 'Architect EP' contains the title track 'Architect' along with two other tracks, all of which show a different side of this up and coming talent.

Quite possibly the toughest offering on the EP, 'Architect' is a twisted groove led track, drawing from techno influences with it's choppy rhythm arrangements and layered stabs. Rolling bass drives through the centre of the techy beat percussion, hitting hard and slamming it's way through the speakers, making a statement to open this single.

'Velvet' heads up the b-side, taking us down a breaky path, leading with some mesmerizing melodies and chords that soon land us in a rugged breakbeat groove. The swelling bassline really highlights the sounds, but brings enough grit to make itself stand out within this diverse and multi layered track, Kosmas Epsilon proving that be it downtempo, techno, house or breaks, he's not afraid to push the envelope and try something new, whilst the final track 'They Came From The Sky' wraps things up with its futuristic pads, piano refrains and subtle beats taking us through a world of downtempo grooves and ambient sounds in a way that is most refreshing indeed.

The Precinct is becoming quite the gathering point for some of the best forward thinking talents the scene has to offer, and the label has yet to miss a step with every release one of absolute quality, and whilst Kosmas will go about his ways and appear on many other labels over the course of the next few months, he's quite happy doing his thing here right now.
