Mark Martini Presents Hollow Promise "Highway One"

Out Now on Tao Recordings

Mark Martini, who's had releases on Source Of Gravity and has recently set up a label called Dubcoast Records, steps up to the plate for this latest release on Tao Recordings. 'Highway One' is a trippy tune with nice layers, samples, and quality chord stabs. Chris Micali, who's recently found his way onto Bedrock Records remixes the tune into a drum layered, sweepy melancholy tune.

Having recently remixed Christian Cambas' track 'It Scares Me', 'Chris Micali' follows on with a new remix here. His sounds are layered, funky and smooth and with 'Highway One' he brings out just that. Smooth drums start in with background voices of kids playing in the park. Nice pad sounds lay into the sliced drums and children, while a deep groove sets in. Chord stabs fall into the drums, cutting up the song and keeping the momentum moving.

The 'Original Mix' is a smooth ride through dreamy atmospheres and light tribal rhythms. Crunchy drums and light synths glide along a mellow bassline. The synths are uplifting and mix in with vocal snips perfectly. This is a very spacey liquidy tune that will work lovely as a warm up set builder.

'Highway One' is a nice heady tune that should appeal to the deepest of house junkies. Tao Recordings third release is a solid addition to the first two, and with an upcoming release from Stereomovers, this label is set for good things.
