Me & Our Friends "Menage A Deux"

Me & Our Friends is the new collaborative project of Tarrentella's Chris Bourne and one of his good friends, who in this case just happens to be Mark Ralph. The project marks a departure from Chris's other outlets, and once again RIP bring to us another limited edition number, following on from the sublime 'Strictly Limited' release by Soul Mekanik some time ago. The full release of 'Menage A Deux' wont come until next year, but for now theres a few hundred one-sided copies of this track to whet your appetite, which has already received support from the usual Radio 1 suspects.

So what's the fuss about? Well, all you need do is slip this onto the decks and soon you will be hooked on it's smooth beats and summery guitar riffs. A slow and smoky groove trails underneath and the added vocal brings the good old tradtional house values to it all. There's no rocket science about this track, it does as it says on the packet, which may be a good thing, or a bad. You can decide that for yourself.

If you find it, and like it, then buy it, otherwise wait till next year for the full monty to reveal itself. A nice downbeat balearic affair that Rip fans and downtempo junkies will lap up, but other than that you may find this nothing much more than a teaser which makes you hungry for more.
