Mike Monday has become almost synonymous with Whoop! over the last two years or so, with numerous remixes sitting alongside his singles, of which this is number three. 'Get Down' builds on his vast production and remix work, and shows that as a producer Mike is really coming into his own, with a lot more to come, but for now, for those who like to.. let's get down..

The 'Musical Mash Mix' shows off Mike's dirty house sounds and jackin beats to the max. A bone shaking bassline and rattling beat patterns conceal the vocal which simply tells you to 'Get Down', and as vocalist delivers his dialect, you cannot refuse to do as he says when the bleepy sounds and upbeat groove emerge from underneath, hypnotising you and leading you further into the centre of the dancefloor. As you arrive, a broken beat section leads into another vocal hook and well.. you will be too busy getting on down to care anymore..

Flip it over for the slightly funkier 'Groovy Gravy Mix', where Mike strips it down and uses a nerve stinging tribal percussion line to great effect. Sliding it up and down with use of tight drum patterns, this mix is pure ass shaking filth, with the darker edged vocal stomping a hole in the dancefloor and your soul respectively. A massive peaktime cut from the funk technician.

Forthcoming projects see Mike team up with Stretch for a massive outing as Paradise Soul, with many other things in the pipeline. Watch this boy go from strength to strength over the coming months..
