Nathan G "Hardy Pardy"

Out Now on Kinky Vinyl

Nathan G returns to London from his native Australia with another party style funk anthem in the making. 'Hardy Pardy' is his latest single for Kinky Vinyl, and is his most accomplished yet, emitting a feel good, get up and dance vibe, even if it is a cover version of the old Afrika Bambaata anthem 'Just Get Up & Dance', but that in itself is by no means a bad thing.

There are two mixes on the twelve from Nathan himself, the 'Vocal Mix' taking the more funky groove led route with some upbeat percussive stabs complimenting a hip-hop influenced vocal hook that just lures into your heart of the track. whilst his 'Dub Mix' fattens up the bassline some more for a stomping tribal flavoured interpretation. Both mixes have a tough yet powerful sound, with some warm synth work only serving to warm up the funk tenfold.

New York's 'Peter Presta' provides support with a deep and throbbing techno-edged remix that really churns up the elements of the original, with this heavier mix just the perfect antidote for those who find the original versions just that little bit too laid back and traditional.

A tough house release from Kinky Vinyl, whom whilst normally known for their delivering of the funk, prove that the when it comes down to it, they just want to provide music that makes you get up and jive, without the talking..
