Nocando "Living In A New World"

Out Now on SOG Liquid

Nocando is a collective project between Dutch musician and producer LeRon and creative mind and European music mogul Yves Eaux. Bringing together the former's wide range of musical skills with the latter's enthusiasm and energy for fusing sounds from many genres, 'Living In A New World' is a house track with a difference, and marks a depart from SOG's usual output, however the sounds speak for themselves.

Heavy drums and pad percussion introduce us to the 'Original Version', but this minimal groove doesn't stay that way for long as the track builds into a wicked chord led groove, a killer indie style vocal proving the main hook. As the vocal fades in and out chorus by chorus, the keys lead the track off on a tangent, climaxing in an epic arpeggio break and straight on into an upbeat percussive finale where live drums really bring the bass home, adding the final touch to an explosive finish.

The remix sees 'Greed' team up with Argentinean producer 'Mercurio' for a deeper, more progressive edged reworking. A rippling analogue bassline leads the mix, with filtered vocals and percussive effects providing a solid groove for the pace to be built upon. Later on, melodic effects drizzle out of the groove with atmospheric chords adding the big room effect that the mix needed to tie things up rather nicely indeed, creating a very effect dancefloor orientated mix in the process.

SOG always manage to surprise, and the "live" approach of the original may not appeal to everyone, but this is neither here nor there as the remix is a strong enough reason to check this out on it's own.
