Noel Sanger "Designs"

Out Now on Electrofly Records

Noel Sanger is without a doubt one of the most well known and highly regarded producer and DJs from the United States, with an extensive back catalogue of releases on labels such as the now defunct Music Now, with appearances also on Teknology and Release Elements also cementing his reputation for producing solid house tracks. However, more recently we've seen him entering the breakbeat realm, reworking tracks by Stroud and Hyper to widespread acclaim. Not one to rest on his laurels, Noel makes his debut on Electrofly with his new single 'Designs'.

The 'Original Mix' sees Noel lay down some seriously heavy beats and chunky rhythms, building a relentless block rocking groove to fill even the biggest of rooms. Coupled with the emotional vocal hook that flows through and over the mental edits during the track's latter stages, what we have here is cool chunky breakbeat track that will please purists of the genre.

However, it's the 'Dirty Mix' that is the pick of the two mixes for me, deep rippling bass and dark stabs the foundation of this energetic interpretation of 'Designs'. Gliding along smoothly, a big drop emerges out of nowhere, turning this lush floating mix into a peak time floor destroying weapon, that used rightly will make the dancefloor explode in a big way

'Designs' marks a step in a new direction for Noel Sanger, spear heading a whole plethora of new material that will appear in the next few months, and once again he doesn't disappoint with this fine addition to the Electrofly catalogue.
