Paradise Soul "Spirit Of The Turning Tables"
Out Now on Kinky VinylMike Monday and Stretch. Each amazing producers in their own right. And what do you get when you bring them together? You get one of the hottest house outfits going around at the moment. The reason, you ask? The reason is that the pair don't make your standard run of the mill house. Their veteran skills showcase a sound full of old school flavour and a certain sexy edge to it which is unmistakable. And while this is evident in all of their work, it particularly shines in "Spirit Of The Turning Tables".
Part One bounces its way in with style. The percussion moves at a comfortable pace, making it evident that it isn't rushing to go anywhere. As a mid to lower ranged melody builds the mood, strong overtones of strings take the centre stage. Their presence is what completes the track, and whilst their melody is quite simplistic, when you put all of the mentioned elements together, the track just glows with radiance. One of those tracks which easily puts a smile on your face from its overall positive mood.
Part Two basis itself heavily on Part One, but with some different sequencing. The track builds in a different fashion, and this gives it a more chugging feel to the flipside. If you like Part One, it is pretty much a given that you will like Part Two, the subtle differences will only have real effect on DJs wishing to spin the track. With different introductions, the DJ will have to decide on which works better, as each certainly has its place.
Fans of Kinky Vinyl's past releases will be right at home on this one. I have to say that I was more than impressed here, and am now eagerly awaiting the forthcoming Paradise Soul album. House fans are well advised to check this one out, and for the more seasoned DJs and clubbers out there, this track may even evoke some nostalgia!
