Paradise Soul "Wake Up [Theme] (Ltd Edition Remixes)"

Out Now on Kinky Vinyl

Mike Monday and Stretch's Paradise Soul project exploded back in the summer of 2003, catapulting both of them back into the spotlight where the track 'Theme From Paradise Soul' was heard from the Space Terrace, across the Mediterranean and back to the UK, not to mention radio support from Pete Tong and Seb Fontaine. Needless to say, it went off, and now as we head nearer to Spring 2004 and the forthcoming Winter Music Conference, the track returns once more, rejigged, reworked and updated. Could the breakout anthem of last summer become one of the tracks of 2004. They certainly hope so..

The duo's new mixes take Theme to new levels, as the original is reworked Detroit style, with a bassline Kevin Saunderson would be proud of. Vocals provided courtesy of Stella inject soul into this new updated mix, sailing through a groove of melodic keys, funky electronic rhythms and awesome 303 style rolls. Drum rolls and a floating piano hook bring the upbeat summer vibe and the whole mix just shimmers, making you want to get up and jive, and at the same time planting an infectious grin on your chops! The instrumental instills the same feeling, but no doubt appealing even more to fans of the seminal Knights Of The Jaguar. Watch out, this is going to be one you hear for months to come!

If you want in on a slice of the action, look out for the limited edition red coloured vinyl. Only 1000 numbered copies are in circulation, so whether you were a fan of the original, or want a piece of one of the hottest house records of the year so far, make it quick!
