Piece Process "Move Your Body / Right Or Wrong"

Out Now on Looq Records

After a sabbatical of several months, Ireland's Matt Phillips, better known to us as Piece Process returns with one of several new singles that he has due for release in the coming months. Already we've seen his New Order-esque single 'Solar Myth' getting major DJ support, and more recently he put his hand to a remix of Psalt's debut for Looq, where he now makes his debut with this two tracker.

'Move Your Body' is the first offering on this double-A release, simmering hypnotic grooves providing the backdrop for some seriously pumping beats, whilst the vocal hook slowly creeps into your mind and leaves it mark, leaving your mind even more fragile than it was before, and your body rocking out to the intoxicating techy rhythms that spew forth from it's inner depths. A solid, driving progressive house track that has all the quirky and funky hallmarks that we've come to expect from the Looq imprint.

'Right Or Wrong' struts down the hypnotic route in it's own unique style, a scrumptious free floating squelchy bassline bubbling nicely at the heart of this dark and energetic groover. Eerie melodies filter through the layered beats, with a minimal robotic vox hook sprinkled into the mix to finish. Like it's counterpart, this track pumps along, but with a more upbeat swagger that will move the dancefloor time after time after time.

Whilst neither track will turn the world upside down, both ooze a certain appeal that ensure they will do the business each and every time you choose to use them, which makes Looq the perfect home as every release on this label has been a mainstay in my record box for a long time indeed, and this is no exception.
