Plastic Pervert "Alarm Bells / Truth"

Out Now on MOB Records

Phil Kieran is without a doubt one of the most diverse producers of the moment. With releases on numerous labels, including Yoshitoshi, Skint, Bugged Out and Soma, his work is highly respected by both his peers and music lovers alike. This release marks his first for MOB Records, where he will be releasing much of his breaks orientated material in the coming months. 'Alarm Bells' are ringing, and the 'Truth' will out, as the Plastic Pervert reveals himself..

'Alarm Bells' is more of an hybrid than a straight beat track, as techno and breakbeat collide in deep, acidic fashion. Starting off slowly, and letting the percussion control the pace, the gear soon shifts as the pedal is put to the metal, and the rolling sub bass spews forth like the wake of an 18 wheeler out of control, signalling it's horn in a bid to say get out of the way. Twisted full throttle mayhem. The man is a pervert indeed.

'Truth' is a somewhat different kettle of fish, opting for a slightly more reclined approach to breaks. Using a detroit style bassline to shuffle the melody that runs throughout, this is soon complimented by the deep electro break patterns that disperse the groove, building towards a warm main section and back out again with ease.

Following on from his work on Kingsize, you just knew what to expect, and this debut single for MOB is one Phil Kieran can be proud of as per usual.
