Seal "Killer (Lexicon Avenue Mix)"

Out Now on White Label

Seal emerged right on the brink of house music's soul revival in the early 90's and has gone on to become one of the leading vocalists both in the UK and US. A decade on, and he now has four artist albums to his credit, but without a doubt his most unforgettable performance came on the track 'Killer', which he wrote and performed on for Adamski way back in 1990. It was this track that brought the spotlight upon him, and is regularly played by radio stations and in clubs across the globe. Now it's set to return to the forefront of our minds with this new update from those masters of house music, Lexicon Avenue.

Maintaining that 'Killer' hook of the original, this remix fuses rocking beats and funky rhythms with Seal's vocals, with the usual trademark Lexicon Avenue beats and hooks finding their way into the intoxicating groove. You will find your foot tapping at the floor the more you listen, and the mix develops, it will work the floor into frenzy with emotive strings adding to the grandeur and magnificence. Even the chorus is kept, stopping the groove in it's tracks before the beats hammer back in for the last few minutes of addictive house beats only the boys from Newcastle can deliver.

When you hear this out, you'll remember it long after you leave the club, with many regulars to Shindig and other nights where the Scott Bradford and friends have played having been hunting for this superb reinterpretation for several weeks now. All I can say is keep an on on your local record emporiums. Seek and ye shall find.
