Shiloh "Latex"

Out Now on Method Records

The latest release on Method sees the label venture introduce Shiloh's debut 4/4 single, after several singles on Electrofly Records. 'Latex' highlights the diverse range of sounds that Colin & Justin Moreh can produce, be it downtempo, full on breaks, or in this case, a straightforward driving progressive number. Keeping things strictly Canadian, the remix on the flip is provided by another pair of up and coming starts, Greg Benz & Marco DiCarlo, rounding off a rather nice overall package indeed.

Wet sounding bass hammers down as the track descends into the 'Original Mix', as Shiloh layer sounds and effects in over the top, creating a twisted groove that remains throughout the track. Subtle keys and a climbing synth line add to the pounding intensity, with some cool top end action coming into play after the crazy melodic breakdown, showing that be it 4/4 or breaks, Shiloh always manage to deliver the goods.

'Benz & MD' inject their trademark melodic ambience into the track, with a more laid back groove moving things forward. Atmospheric fills lend a cavernous feel to the track, within which strings are woven into the bassline, rising behind the trippy melodic hook to create a devastating rumbling effect that will destroy the floor. Subtle breakbeats bring the tempo down slightly, before the bass kicks back in for the explosive finish, as these two producers once again deliver a mind blowing end of night track that will leave your jaw on the floor.

As the label hits 20 releases, Method continues to put out some of the finest dancefloor bombs from around the globe, and this release from Shiloh is no exception, notching up another feather in their cap as we get closer and closer to the release of their artist album.
