Silver Haze "Hidden Park / Works"

Out Now on Sabotage Systems

The second release on Sabotage Systems has arrived, This time we head over to France where we are introduced to Cedric Azencoth (Bad Ced) who forms part of the famous French electro band, Dax Riders, as well as running the label Subscience. His partner on the Silver Haze project is Chris Carrier who some peopel may know for his work as Beat Concil as well as co-running the techno label Chronobrain. They have previously released two singles on Subscience in 2001 and 2002 as Silver Haze, but travel across the English Ocean to deliver two fresh productions for Cass's Sabotage imprint, entitled 'Hidden Park' and 'Works'.

The duo warm us up nicely as the sublime house grooves of 'Hidden Park' shimmer through the speakers. The rolling techno beats pave the way to what can only be described as a juggernaut of a bassline. Warm ambient sounds run across the groove, the quirkly hypnotic vocal diatribe adding yet another dimension to the track, but the bassline holds it's head high and keeps on driving along, making roads on the dancefloor, making sure it devastates everything in it's path.

'Works' on the other hand, is a different beast altogether. On the surface you would think it's a foray into deep tech house territory, but that is perhaps too narrow minded when trying to describe this track. Luscious keyboard synth sounds fuse with low analogue beats as a tight percussive groove slithers it's way through the undergrowth, with the vocal topping it all off with style and enchating sexiness.

In contrast to the label's first release, 'Mind Rewind', this is very much a different kettle of fish, but in terms of Sabotage's musical policy of music, whatever the style, this proves that is exactly what the label is going to showcase. Watch out for a wide and varied selection of cuts from several new artists soon.
