Solar Plexus "Solar Plexus (Remixes)"

With the original 12" mix and a rework by The Idiots already causing some dancefloor damage, Sex On Wax deliver more new mixes of the classic 'Solar Plexus', with Desyn Masiello lending his hand to yet another mix. this time collaborating with Rowan Blades and Andy Page, whilst Sapphirecut deliver their own interpretation of the classic as well.

The trio of Masiello, Blades and Page turn in a tough groove led monster that has The Droid's trademark drum programming running throughout, with a grinding bassline being backed up with emotive effects and that killer vocal hook which appears at the peak of the mix and drifts in and out of the beats as an atmospheric melody creeps along the background to add a big sound to what was already a solid dancefloor mix.

A stark contras to the 'Sapphirecut' mix, which strips the original right back, keeping only the vocal element and dropping it over a latin groove complement with flamenco guitar and twinkling effects which rise and fade into the groove, adding a warm mood to the vocal and overall track, making this a decent little Balearic style rework that is just perfect for warm ups.

A respectful set of mixes which whilst neither able to compete with the groundbreaking original, will ensure that the track find's itself a whole new set of fans whilst making it more accessible to people who might have overlooked it the first time around.
