Subsky Vs Muzo "Let It Flow / Particular People"

Out Now on Red Flag Collective

The Red Flag Collective have set loose their second release featuring the mighty talents of Subsky and Muzo B. The Turkish label was created as a means to release the sounds of Istanbul and the talent that resides there. Subsky has become a favorite among many DJs, producers and listeners alike, and here he lays down 'Let It Flow'. It's an infectious house tune with a brilliant bassline, funk that makes your head spin and your feet groove. Muzo Berberoglu has been working hard with his productions as of late, and his latest is mesmerizing. 'Particular People' has subtle synth layers, engulfed by a massive bassline that sends the tune flying, and leaves you wanting more.

'Let It Flow' starts in with tribal drums and builds with a groovy cascading synth arpeggiation that falls into a fat bassline. A smooth sailing groove sets in as the sounds sway back and forth and move through the speakers. Cute twinkly bits come in working along the bass to add another element. A smooth light synth smooths over the tune, and drops everything off into a clean break. A wicked dirty synth stab cuts into a breakbeat that emerges. Dropping off into a break a new dark synth stabs into the breakbeat that emerges. The lush synth takes the lead, while the twinkles follow the beats. Dropping off once again, the synth swims and swirls in a thick blanket of watery sound and finally pops back into the house kick and flows out till the end of this very summery warm tune.

'Particular People' has a deeper sound to it. Subtle drums start in, while an acid sound is squeezed over the top bringing in some tone. A layer of percussive sound bubbles behind the drum build, and then falls into a thick and heavy bassline that pushes everything along. A sassy gliding groove keeps moving, while a sinister middle follows. A new bassline creeps in moving up keys, as a sweet long synth creates a warm atmosphere. As all the sounds drop out, and the long synth rides with the beats and bass before breaking down into just a shaker and a kick. The bass climbs up and down and then builds once again for the tune to pop once more.

Both of these tunes are exceptional. They have many different elements that keep you glued to the dancefloor, or chair or whatever you may want to be glued to. The Red Flag Collective isn't putting any stops in for their label, and Subsky and Muzo bring out some more delights from Istanbul.
