Tantamanna "Diverted Minds EP (Disc Two)"

This second disc of Tantamanna's new EP 'Diverted Minds' sees their first single 'Bad Dreams' get the remix treatment by ADF, and the EP completed by a new original called 'Music Man'. The first disc has the greater appeal, but these two tracks aren't so bad either, but I'll let you judge for yourself.

ADF's remix of 'Bad Dreams' is a twisted and pounding electronic interpretation that moves along at a consistent yet unrelenting pace. Dirty beats and a shaking groove provide the backdrop for all manner of diverse sounds and vocal snippets to be dropped into the mix, which slides along nicely, rising into an uplifting crescendo which will catch the dancefloor by surprise for it's last few minutes.

'Music Man' is without a doubt the most funk fuelled cut on the EP, a wild and vibrating bassline laying down the foundations for a low slung sub bass track that will hypnotize you with it's rolling groove and sliding snares and melodies. An added vocal hook brings a ragga style influence to the dance, which works well with the rest of the elements and is the extra something that was required to make this a fun and energy filled track you will find use for time after time after time.

Compared to the first half of the EP, this second disc is a mixed bag really, so head for the first over this, but be sure to check out 'Music Man' whilst you do and decide whether this is for you.
