Out Now on RIP Digital

Four years can seem like an eternity in the world of dance music, but that's how long it's been since we last heard some sonic offerings from producer Chris Bourne and his Tarrentella project. Having taken a break from producing and collaborating alongside the likes of Redanka and Satoshi Tomiie, and after a period of reflection, the Tarrentella project has been reactivated and the first offering in a new body of work comes in the form of 'Jigsaw'.

Traversing the boundaries between progressive and deep house, 'Jigsaw' is constructed around a tight percussive snare line that provides the heart and soul of the track. Once the rolling beat intro has dispersed, the pace develops at a steady pace, delayed melodic keys keeping the energy level constant as the track unfolds. A series of big stabs provide the crescendo, before the organic sounds of the track takes hold once more to carry it to it's close.

A welcome return for Tarrentella and a great way to relaunch the RIP imprint, along with another single, the storming house epic that is 'Adma'. As a label renowned for it's constant attitude to quality house, it would seem that while the format may have changed, RIP and indeed Tarrentella prove that the ethos is still the same.
