Absolut & Blade "Pain"

Sumsonic continues it's year of great releases with a signing from Switerland by Andre Absolut And Eric Blade. This duo have already made a name for themselves in European waters with releases on their own Monobasic imprint, in addition to SOG Records. After contacting Sumsonic to request permission of some samples from an early Sumsonic release, the duo ended up letting Sumsonic hear the final article and as a result 'Pain' was quickly snapped up.

The a-side is the 'Original Lakeside Dub Mix', a deep house influenced epic that utilises some twisted electronic grooves over a minimal bassline which allows for the guys to cut a niche within the beats to slide in some crisp punchy stabs coupled with some atmospheric sounds and effects which really fill up the bottom end and bring the resulting sounds to the surface with surprising results.

The b-side sees Chris Gainer and Darko get to grips with the track, creating a 'Darko Vs Gainer' mix that takes all the atmosphere and main riff from original, rounding it off into an epic marathon that is complimented by some delightful keyboard riffs which add not only some warmth to the groove and sealing the deal of producing yet another superb remix which following on from their remix of Greed Feat Lesley's 'LOVE', continues their excellent work.

Forthcoming is another new solo project from the excellent Paul Rogers with a remix from G-Pal. Watch out for it as when you put these two names together something very special is likely to happen. Something very 'Krafty' indeed.
