Bart Van Wissen "Illuminate / Deviate"

Bart Van Wissen is one of a handful of new faces emerging within the dutch scene, and at nineteen years of age certainly has plenty of time to find his true potential, but for now Peter Van Hal has snapped the youngster up for Deep Records with his first two productions, 'Illuminate' and 'Deviate' presented for our listening pleasure.

'Illuminate' is a triptastic slice of dance that is a hybrid of many genres of dance. From it's tribal influenced percussion to it's melodic synth line and its deeply emotive tech style chords you never quite know how to pidgeonhole it, and as the downtempo chord progression melts into the deep bassline the track really comes into a life of it's own, sweeping atmospherics pads just adding a nie floating vibe to proceedings to put the final exclamation mark on this subtle melodic number.

'Deviate' is on more of a house tip, but the warm melodies are still present, but with a slightly funkier arrangement that just bobs along in a nice heads down style which will have you tapping you foot in time to the melody line.

Some nice material from the youngester with Illuminate in particular showing promise of lots to come in the future, which hopefully will be sooner rather than later.
