Bluephaze "What Is Music?"

Out Now on Vapour Recordings

Nash Trajkovski (Nash-T) has enjoyed success on EQ Grey in recent months with 'The Dark' and 'The Bell' in particular standing out. Now he teams up with Vapour Recordings once more under his Bluephaze guise to release What Is Music?.

As we have come to expect from this man following on from his previous releases on EQ and Vapour, the Original Mix holds within its walls a very deep vibe. A slow brooding percussion line gently crafts itself in the centre, pulsating and fluctating as and when is required, as the 303 bassline twists the track on it's axis, as synth arrangement pave the way for the reggae twinged vocal to shine through. The whole package is as tight as.. well just tight.

Quest takes the track off into the darkness, weaving hypnotic house grooves over the top of the track, and stretching out the percussion line to make everything sound dubbed out. The vocal is edged in with precision execution just before powerful piano stabs take over. Not a mix for the faint of heart.

Vapour continues to showcase both the best of homegrown Australian talent as well as international newcomers as well. It's one of the reasons it remains to be one of Australia's leading imprints.
