Darko Vs Greed "Different Danger"

Out Now on SOG Liquid

Tobi Wirz has made sure his Greed project has helped to push his SOG imprint to the forefront of DJs minds and record boxes. Since it's inception the label has seen support from such a diverse range of talent as Danny Howells, Pappa, Sasha and Digweed, and Tobi has kept things fresh by collaborating with some of the hottest and in many cases underrated producers out there. One of these would be Mark O' Brien, one half of Sumsonic's Sleepfreaks and producing in a solo capacity as Darko. Having remixed Greed before, Mark now teams up with Tobi for this hypnotic number in the form of 'Different Danger'

'Mix 1' utilizes a bouncing bassline that drops and weaves nicely to start things off. Techy hi-hats disperse in the background amidst some nice layered effects which burst within the atmosphere being built up. A spooky sub bass break interrupts things for a brief moment before layer upon layer of twisted stabs are dropped over the warm chords rising with precision execution, just the kind of calibre you expect from a collaboration between Darko and Greed.

'Mix 2' has been crafted with a more driving, powerful direction in mind. a tight rolling bassline with a hook pattern that works well against the melodic string arrangements the duo have placed within the track, subtle key changes and tweaks only filling in the gaps to ensure this b-side appeals to the peak time dj sets, and is a great alternative to the a-side

Now on it's 15th release, SOG continues to showcase some of the finest talent from across the globe and with Tobi having recently collaborated with the mighty Blackwatch, the label's profile is only likely to soar even higher.
