Histeria "Dans Tes Yeux / Consciousness"

Histeria are the latest signing to the Underground Sound Of Renaissance and are Miami based producers Al Rodriguez and Fernando Rojo. Having only met less than a year ago, the duo have already been working flat out on many tracks that span many genres, two of which have been picked up for this, their debut release, as Renaissance introduces to us yet another of the world's underground production outfits.

First up is the track Dans Tes Yeux is a synth based house number, groovy percussion forming the backdrop against which sharp synths are fired off against, but to me the track offers nothing really innovative by today's standards, with only the quirky break anything to write home about.

Consciousness starts off highly promising, but as soon as the main synth line kicks in, it just becomes another laid back progressive house cut that's been done so much better in recent times by artists such as Pole Folder and Yunus.

Sadly, this release is probably USR's worst to date, but hopefully with a forthcoming release from the consistently good Hellpass, they will be able to turn things around and get back on track.
