Mauritius "Somebody Told Me / Nachtflug"

Out Now on Tune Inn Records

Marc O Tool has made a name for himself over the years with tracks such as Deeper and Stauffenberg which gained support from DJs like Sander Kleinenberg. He was also responsible for the massive tracks 4AM and Passenger as Ballroom and now dons another disguise, Mauritius for some deeper groovy outings and two of them are together on this record, Somebody Told Me and Nachtflug.

Somebody Told Me edges in slowly, before a nice rolling progressive bassline takes over. Dramatic synths rain over the track as it pushes it's way onward, unleashing the vocal upon us with astounding results. The catchy vocal draws you into the groove and as we enter the break the vocal gets showcased fully. A bit more commercial than a lot of material you may have heard previously on Tune Inn, but it does not suffer in the slightest for it.

Nachtflug on the other hand is a more restrained progressive groover, spacey effects washing over a synth fuelled bassline as tight hi-hats and drum patterns are weaved into the sounds being crafted. The break gives way to some lush spaced house ambience before the track picks back up once more on a slightly more twisted vibe. Nice.

With a new label called Mauritius Music being set up and with Tune Inn diversifying their output to even wider appeal with each release, the future looks very bright for both parties indeed.
