Out Now on Yoshitoshi Recordings

Delivering productions on labels like Naked Music, Talkin Loud, NRK, Large and Transport, Migual Migs returns to Yoshitoshi to deliver a deep, reggae infused cut that has been a staple in many Ibiza sets.

Migs’ passionate relationship with reggae shows through in “Steppin’ Up” which is arguably one of his strongest, most versatile releases to date. With steel drums, reggae styled vocals, and blazing horns, Miguel will have any dancefloor ‘jammin’. It is smooth and lush with just enough sample manipulations to make it work well on the floors while at the same time, being a great tune to drive windy roads in the summer.

Delivered in two interpretations, “Steppin’ Up” gives you the choice to deliver a vocalized performance with the ‘Transporting Pulse Mix’ or concentrate more on the sophisticated deep grooves of the ‘Dubpusher Selecta Mix’

While Migs has been famous for his recent releases on Naked Music, Yoshitoshi has quite a history with him. Having released “That’s Why I’m Here” and “Find What’s Mine” previously, Yoshitoshi have pulled him back for this follow up to his past successes. As the Yoshitoshi boys put it, Steppin’ Up is “a perfect soundtrack for those warm Ibiza nights.”

"I like to take the dancefloor on a journey to many different places, but, whether it be vocal, percussive, moody, funky, techy or broken beat, its always in the same view of deep house and must be soulful" -Migs
