Pako & Frederik "Beatus Possessor"

Out Now on Coded

Pako and Frederik have been a major part of Global Underground's Coded label pretty much since its inception, with previous releases Seaside Atmosphere being featured on Northern Exposure: Expeditions

Following on from their return with the track 'Friday' on Bedrock, they now return to their rightful home and deliver yet another stormer for Coded, Beatus Possessor.

The Original Mix which was debuted at Creamfields 2001 become hugely sought after, even more so after it was hammered by both John Digweed and the Sumsonic boys on KissFM. A brooding bassline and eerie vox and effects build into dark echoing stabs, wooshing stabs piercing the bassline as the track drives on, getting busier and busier, as symbols crash, sinister vox erupts and before the track lunges into a frenzy, more determined than ever to get you moving on the floor.

Hernan Cattaneo, who was the man responsible for debuting this stunning track, strips it right back, easing the pace, funking the percussion up a bit and letting the bassline echo and bubble in the background, subtly building into the break before heading deeper. A darker twist on a superb original that works equally as well.

After a very long period of dormancy, it looks like both Coded and Quad have awoken and no doubt we can expect more quality releases in 2002.
