Penton & Dipasqualle "Alluvion"

Out Now on Sunkissed Records

Thomas Penton has had a been on a roll recently, following on from the recent 'Control Factor'. Here he teams up for the first time with Vincent Dipasqualle for their first release on Sunkissed, entitled Alluvion, which is the 25th release on the imprint.

The a-side 'Mix 1' is made up of come deep synth fuelled arrangements and groovy rolling percussion. As subtle chord structures wash over the beats, a deep sound moving along gently in the distance, the track continues along its designated path before slowing down into twisted beat break before really letting loose and driving forward with some tremendous rising hooks and drum patterns. Innovative, dreamy and a superb slice of progressive house.

Mix 2 is a more powerful dancefloor weapon, large squelching beats and tighten themselves around the lush chords, building and twisting like a spiral staircase, stopping for a momentary rest in the break before carrying on up towards the heavens. Reach for the strobe, this is dancefloor ecstacy.

These two mixes show great potential for this duo in the future and I am hoping we hear a follow up from the duo sooner rather than later. Check this out if you are looking for a breath of fresh air.
