Soul Mekanik "Home Cookin EP"

Out Now on RIP Records

Stoke On Trent's fast rising imprint RIP Records returns with yet another outing from those Soul Mekanik boys in the form of Home Cookin EP. Roland Bass and Luke Warm have crafted genious music, taking influences from obscure tv series, good cusine and european destinations. Of course, whilst a lot of this is utter bollocks, their music certainly isnt. The Home Cookin EP is their fourth release for RIP following on from the superb Diskostatic, Strictly Limited and I'll Call You

The Original version of Cmon Over is a gorgeous string laden deep house masterpiece, large echoing bass mixing in nicely with 2 ounces of sparkly beats, with some smokey vocals grind in for extra taste. The Ben-E-Lux Version is a lumpier, thicker, yet equally as tasty morsel that keeps all the original flavour, slicing and dicing the vocal, whilst adding a little more dancefloor spice to the dish, all served up in trademark Soul Mekanik style that will leave you wanting seconds. And if this isn't enough, there's a nice little Mekapella served up as a side dish for your curious tastebuds.

Futher tasty delights will come in the delightful dessert of If U Nu, with a special Chicken Lips sauce, but for now Bon Appétit.
