Guy Gerber "Stoppage Time (Remixes)"

Out Now on Bedrock Records

The original version of 'Stoppage Time' is without a doubt one of the best releases to have come on the Bedrock label in recent history, and it's impact was felt throughout much of the latter part of 2004 in John Digweed's set, and now sees a new lease of life thanks to new remixes from Max Graham and Tom Mangan.

'Max Graham' stays true to the original, adding his own 'Sidechain' sound to create a driving mix that will leave a major implosion on the dancefloor. Big beats, euphoric builds and a wild sub bassline add a whole new twist to the dark grooves of the original, taking it to a level that will work well in a big room or festival.

As one might expect, 'Tom Mangan' takes a slightly left of centre approach, adding a cool analogue electro style angle to the track. With some heavy synth action and distorted effected underpinned by the main bassline, Mangan lets the lead hook do the damage, with a jackin twist that will work whether you're pushing the tempo, or bringing it down.

Whilst Guy Gerber's own original version still holds its own to this day, these new updates of 'Stoppage Time' take it to a broader, more widespread audience and whether you're a fan or the original or are just looking for a versatile, well rounded 12" for the DJ box, then you need look no further than here.
